Mac Grove Painting completed a full exterior painting project on a pair of multi-family apartment buildings along Nicollet Avenue in the vibrant South Minneapolis neighborhood, delivering a dramatic transformation that showcases the durability and craftsmanship the company is known for. The brick facades of both buildings had suffered extensive paint failure over the years, requiring a thorough preparation process before any topcoats could be applied. The crew began with pressure washing to remove dirt and deteriorating paint, then applied Sherwin-Williams Peel Bond RX — a high-performance primer specifically formulated for surfaces with extreme peeling — in two coats to ensure a stable, well-adhered foundation across the entire exterior.

With the surfaces properly prepared, Mac Grove Painting applied two coats of Sherwin-Williams Loxon XP, a premium masonry coating engineered to withstand harsh Minnesota weather conditions and protect aging brick for years to come. The color selection — Agreeable Grey for the main body — gave the buildings a clean, modern aesthetic while complementing the character of the surrounding Lyndale neighborhood. Crisp Extra White stripe detailing was then added along the brickwork, adding architectural definition and a polished, finished look that significantly elevated the curb appeal of both structures.
