Mac Grove Painting was proud to partner with Rutledge Construction of Saint Louis Park, Minnesota, on a full interior renovation of the dining room at a well-established residential cooperative community in Edina, MN. Contracted as the painting and wall finishing specialists for the project, Mac Grove’s skilled crew handled all drywall installation and finishing, interior painting, vinyl wall covering installation, and painting of the hollow metal door frames throughout the renovated space. The result — a beautifully updated dining room now known as the Yorke Room — reflects the high standard of craftsmanship Mac Grove Painting consistently brings to commercial interior painting and finish work across the Twin Cities metro.

One of the most technically demanding aspects of this interior painting and drywall project was the finishing of radius columns throughout the dining room. Drywalling and painting curved, cylindrical columns requires precision taping, careful feathering of joint compound, and meticulous surface preparation to achieve smooth, seamless results — and Mac Grove Painting executed each column to a level the entire team was proud of. The vinyl wall covering installation added another layer of complexity, demanding perfectly prepped and primed wall surfaces to ensure proper adhesion and a flawless finished appearance. The hollow metal door frames were thoroughly cleaned, primed, and finish-painted to complete the polished, cohesive look of the renovated space.

Working within an occupied residential cooperative building presented its own unique set of challenges. Mac Grove Painting took great care to fully contain all dust and debris within the active work area, implementing strict containment protocols throughout every phase of the project to protect the building’s residents from disruption.
